French Classes

Our French classes focus on the development of all french language skills (speaking french, listening to French conversation, reading and writing in french) to give you greater confidence and fluency in communication. French grammar and vocabulary is regularly introduced and practised so that you will be able to use it naturally in and out of class.

Our French course is structured around a textbook, but you will also study using cassettes and videos. While in class some lessons will be done directly with your teacher; other lessons will be done in pairs or small groups under the supervision of your teacher. In a small group, French classes become a lot of fun.

General class information

The focus of our lessons is on the development of all language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) to give you greater confidence and fluency in communication. New language – grammar and vocabulary – is regularly introduced and practised so that you will be able to use it naturally.

However, we also take into account your specific learning needs and customise the training programme in order to meet your needs. For example, if you were learning Spanish because you intend to travel to Latin America, then more emphasis will be placed on commonly used expressions.

The course is structured around a textbook suitable for your level, but you will also study using other resources, including cassettes and videos.

Some work will be done directly with your teacher; other work will be done in pairs or small groups under the supervision of your teacher.
